Microgaming
Microgaming Slots and Live Tables
Searched for Microgaming? Here is the short answer first. Our Microgaming page carries the studio's newer slot series and a row of live dealer tables, not the old classics the name is famous for. You will find the ice hockey slot Break Away Gold, the Power Combo family, a run of Greek gods under the Almighty name, and a blackjack table called Blackjack Montreal. The slots open in a free demo with no account, so you can try one before you stake anything; the live tables are real money only, as live tables always are.
You must be 18 or over to play. This page covers what we carry, what the studio is known for, how to play its slots and live tables step by step, and where to go if you would rather try something free first.
What we carry from Microgaming
The Microgaming page in our lobby lists the games this studio supplies to us, and nothing else: dozens of video slots and a smaller group of live tables. The slots lean towards series, several takes on one idea rather than a scatter of one-offs. Break Away is the long-running ice hockey series. Power Combo is a format built around bonus features that can trigger together. The Almighty run gives each game its own Greek god.
Around those series sit pairs: Cash Blitz and Cash Blitz Extreme, FlyX and FlyX Cash Turbo, and Fire & Diamond Joker with its festive twin, Fire and Diamond Jingle Joker. The live side covers blackjack, baccarat, roulette, a money wheel and Casino Hold'Em. Several of those tables have a strong look of their own, from FashionTV branding to a roulette wheel run with a DJ.
The famous Microgaming games we do not carry
Most pages ranking for this name are built around a few hits: Mega Moolah, the progressive jackpot that made the studio famous, plus Immortal Romance, Thunderstruck, Avalon and Book of Oz. None of them is in our lobby, and we would rather say so now than after you sign up.
If it is the studio's style that drew you, the shelf we carry covers some of the same ground. Norse myth turns up in Asgardian Fire and Andvari: The Magic Ring. Wolves and cold country turn up in Arctic Wolf Triple Riches and Book of Wolves. If the jackpot was the draw, our own jackpots have pages of their own: the mystery jackpot, the community jackpot and the exclusive jackpots. None of them is the Mega Moolah network.
Free demo: Microgaming slots open with no account
This matters if you searched for a free Microgaming demo. The Microgaming slots here open in demo mode with play money, no account and no deposit, so you can learn a game before you stake anything. The live tables are the exception: a real dealer deals every round, so they need a funded account and a real stake.
Use the demo to learn how a game's free spins and respins feel, then switch to real money once you know what you like. Before that first real stake, read the rules panel and start at the lowest bet; both are covered below. All slots explains what demo play does and does not show.
Who Microgaming is, and where Games Global fits
Microgaming is one of the oldest names in online casino software. Based on the Isle of Man, it is widely credited with some of the first casino software built for the internet. It went on to build a very large catalogue and the progressive jackpot network behind Mega Moolah. Long-time players also know it for series: the studio likes to return to a hit with sequels, and Break Away is a good example of the habit.
The part that confuses people is Games Global. The studio's game business now runs under that name, including the catalogue and the deals with the partner studios that design games for it. Many casinos, ours included, still file those games under Microgaming, because that is the name players know. That partner model is why the shelf feels so varied. A farmyard slot like Hatching Gold! Rooster's Riches sits beside a Greek myth slot like Chronicles of Olympus, and both count as Microgaming here.
Best Microgaming slots to start with here
"Best" depends on what you enjoy, and the demo lets you sample each one free, so these are starting points by taste rather than a ranking. We hold no volatility record for these titles and will not guess one.
For hockey fans: the Break Away series
Break Away is the natural first stop if you are reading in Canada. Each new entry keeps the rink and changes the features. Break Away Gold, Break Away Shootout and Breakaway MAX each rework the idea in their own way. Read the panel of each before you choose: the theme is the same, the bonus rules are not.
For feature hunters: the Power Combo titles
These suit players who care more about bonus rounds than base-game spins. Their format lets separate features land together, so the interest lies in which combination arrives. Try Aztec Triple Riches Power Combo for jungle treasure, Gates of Asgard Power Combo for Norse myth, or Eggz! POWER COMBO for the farmyard. The panel in each shows which symbols drive which feature.
For myth lovers: the Almighty run
The Almighty titles cover Zeus twice, then Athena, Poseidon and Dionysus. They belong to one family, so the panel is the quickest way to see how each differs. Almighty Athena Empire and Almighty Poseidon Empire are good places to begin. Almighty Zeus Wilds gives the king of the gods a second game of his own.
For anglers: the fishing slots
Bass Catch Super Up is a straight fishing trip. Fishin' Pots of Gold Gold Blitz mixes the fishing theme with Irish pots of gold. If the Irish side appeals, the Irish collection gathers more of that theme from other studios.
For something different
Fire & Diamond Joker takes its cue from the old fruit-machine joker. Grand Casino Heist trades myth for a robbery plot, and Frankenstein goes for horror. FlyX and FlyX Cash Turbo are the most unusual names in the list, so read their rules before you stake anything.
The Microgaming slots list, grouped by theme
The full list lives on the Microgaming page in the lobby and changes as the studio releases new titles. Here is the shelf grouped by theme.
- Greek myth: Almighty Zeus Empire, Almighty Athena Empire, Almighty Poseidon Empire, Almighty Dionysus Empire, Almighty Zeus Wilds, Chronicles of Olympus, Ancient Treasure: Poseidon and Hades Lost Treasures.
- Norse myth: Asgardian Fire, Gates of Asgard Power Combo and Andvari: The Magic Ring.
- Asian fortune: FaFa Fortune, Golden Cat Fortunes, Happy Lucky Cats, Heavenly Elephant Fortune and Crazy Rich Tigers.
- Wild animals: African Wilds, Arctic Wolf Triple Riches, Bison Fire Charge, Book of Wolves and Bears Make Bank! Power Combo.
- Farmyard and sweets: Hatching Gold! Rooster's Riches, Eggz! POWER COMBO, Cluckin' Sweet Feast, Diamond Diva Oink Bonanza and Candy Rush Wilds.
- Sport and the outdoors: Break Away Gold, Break Away Shootout, Breakaway MAX, Bass Catch Super Up and Fishin' Pots of Gold Gold Blitz.
- Adventure and magic: Aztec Triple Riches Power Combo, Bonny's Treasures, Bronco Big Bounty, Genie's Magic Wishes, Frankenstein and Grand Casino Heist.
- Jokers, cash and party: Fire & Diamond Joker, Fire and Diamond Jingle Joker, Cash Blitz, Cash Blitz Extreme, Gold Infinity, Crazy Bob Bonanza, Carnaval Fiesta, FlyX and FlyX Cash Turbo.
A few more titles open with a numeral in their names, and you will find them on the lobby page too. If a theme here appeals and you want more of it, the mythic, Asian and animals collections gather similar slots from other studios, most of them with a free demo.
How to play a Microgaming slot here, step by step
Try the game in demo first if you like. These steps take you from there to your first real-money spin, and make sure it is an informed one.
- Sign in or open an account. The demo needs neither, but a real-money spin needs you logged in with money in your balance.
- Make a deposit. Pick a method on the payment methods page; in Canada that includes Interac.
- Open the game. Use this page or the search, then choose the title.
- Read the information panel before the first spin. It holds the paytable, the rules for each feature and the return-to-player figure.
- Set your stake. The bet control sets what each spin costs; keep it at the lowest value until you know the game.
- Spin and watch the win display. Note whether wins arrive as line wins, ways wins or feature payouts.
- Decide your stopping point first. Pick a budget and a time limit before you start, not after a run of spins.
What to look for in the panel
Start with how a win is counted. Some games pay along fixed lines from left to right. Others pay "ways", where matching symbols only need to sit on neighbouring reels from the left. The paytable shows what each symbol pays at your current stake. Then read the feature rules: what triggers free spins or a bonus round, whether you pick anything, and what can retrigger it.
How the stake works
The stake is the cost of one spin, usually shown as a total bet. Win values scale with it: double the bet and you double both the cost of a spin and the size of every win. If you are wagering a welcome bonus, the maximum bet is $5 per spin until the wagering is done. If you use autoplay, keep the number of spins small and set a loss limit where the settings allow one.
Learning a Microgaming slot: demo first, then the lowest stake
The cheapest way to learn is the demo, because it costs nothing. Play long enough to see how often small wins land, how long the dry spells feel and how rarely the feature arrives. That is volatility in practice. When you move to real money, start at the lowest stake, so your first sessions with your own balance cost the least.
Bonus money needs one extra check. Bonus funds can be played on around 1,700 games, listed on the bonus play page. Check that list before you plan to wager a bonus on a Microgaming title, rather than finding out halfway through.
Microgaming live tables in our lobby
The live tables under the Microgaming name are not slots. Each one is a real dealer on a video stream, taking real-money bets in rounds, with no demo and no volatility rating. What you need is the rules and the payouts, which each table's help panel sets out.
Blackjack comes in a few styles. Blackjack Montreal carries a name that will catch a Canadian eye, Blackjack Monte Carlo borrows the glamour of the Riviera, and FashionTV X-Pulse Blackjack puts the fashion channel's branding on the table. Baccarat is the largest group: Baccarat After Dark is dressed for late night, and a run of numbered baccarat tables sits beside it. Roulette has Diamond Roulette, Dance DJ Roulette and FashionTV X-Beat Roulette.
Two tables stand apart. Casino Hold'Em is poker played against the dealer rather than other players. Cash Wheel Carnival is a money wheel. For more, our live casino holds 350+ tables from other studios too, and Evolution is a good place to start.
How to play the Microgaming live tables
Every table runs in rounds. A countdown shows how long the betting window stays open. You choose a chip value and tap the spot you want to bet on before the timer runs out. When betting closes, the dealer spins or deals, and winning bets are paid to your balance automatically.
Blackjack
You and the dealer both aim for a hand closer to twenty-one than the other, without going over. After your first two cards you hit, stand, double down or split a pair, and the dealer then plays by fixed rules.
Baccarat
You bet on the Player hand, the Banker hand or a Tie, and the dealer does the rest. The hand closest to nine wins, and you make no decisions once your bet is down, which makes baccarat the simplest live table to learn.
Roulette
You bet on where the ball will land: a single number, a group of numbers, a colour, or odd or even. Single numbers pay the most and land least often; colours and halves land more often and pay less. Themed tables may add twists, and the help panel explains them.
Casino Hold'Em
You place an ante, then you and the dealer each get two cards, with five community cards to come. After the first three community cards you either fold and lose the ante or call, which usually costs twice the ante. The best five-card hand wins.
Cash Wheel Carnival
Place chips on the segments you think the wheel will stop on. The host spins, and the segment under the pointer wins. Rarer segments pay more, and the help panel shows what each one pays.
Return figures and volatility: where to look
We do not publish return figures on this page. Each Microgaming slot shows its return-to-player figure in its information panel, and that is the place to read it. Treat it as a long-run average across a vast number of spins, not a forecast for your session. Volatility, how a game spreads its wins, is not something we record for these titles. Some panels describe it in words; where yours does not, a short session at the lowest stake tells you more than any label.
Microgaming on your phone: login and app questions
There is no Microgaming login for players. The studio supplies casinos, not the public, so the account you sign in to is your account with us. Nor is there a Microgaming app to download: the games here load in your phone's browser once you are signed in.
If you pay for mobile data, as many players in South Africa do, know the difference between the two kinds of game. A slot loads its graphics and then uses little data per spin. A live table streams video for as long as you sit at it, so play live tables on Wi-Fi when you can.
Bonuses and the Microgaming no-deposit question
We do not run a Microgaming-specific no-deposit bonus; the free way to spin these slots is the demo, which needs no account. Promotions change, so the promotions page shows what is live today.
The welcome package is worth up to $1,500 across three deposits: 100% up to $500 on the first, 50% up to $700 on the second and 100% up to $300 on the third. The minimum deposit is $10. Bonus funds carry 40x wagering, to be completed within 7 days, with a maximum bet of $5 while you wager. The full rules are on the bonus conditions page. After that come a reload of 50% up to $200, cashback of up to 5% capped at $200, and a VIP program with 9 tiers.
Is this the right place to play Microgaming?
It depends on what you came for. If you want Mega Moolah, this page cannot help you, and we have said so plainly. If you want the studio's newer series, free to try in demo, and its live tables in one account, alongside 3,000+ slots and 350+ live tables from 20+ studios, it is a good fit.
Accounts run in USD, EUR and CAD, so Canadians can play in their own currency and South Africans can pick USD or EUR, or fund with crypto. Deposits work by debit and credit card, direct banking, Revolut, crypto (USDC, BTC, ETH and SOL) and, in Canada, Interac. Support is open from 09:00 to 02:00, 7 days a week.
Other studios to try next
The providers page lists every studio we carry. For the mechanic that changes the number of ways on every spin, try Big Time Gaming, the studio behind Megaways. For another veteran studio, try NetEnt, and for the newest arrivals, new slots. Their slots open in a free demo too.
Microgaming questions answered
What is Microgaming?
One of the longest-running online casino software studios, based on the Isle of Man and best known for its progressive jackpots. Its game business now runs as Games Global, but casinos still list the games under the Microgaming name.
Can I play Microgaming slots free in demo mode here?
Yes. The Microgaming slots open in demo mode with play money, no account and no deposit. The live tables have no demo: every round there is dealt for real money.
Do you have Mega Moolah, Immortal Romance or Thunderstruck?
No. Those are the studio's best-known titles, but they are not in our lobby. What we carry is the newer shelf: Break Away, Power Combo, the Almighty run and the live tables.
Is there a Microgaming no-deposit bonus?
Not here. The welcome package needs a deposit of at least $10, and the bonus play list shows which games bonus funds can be used on.
What is the twenty-dollar method for slot machines?
A budgeting habit, not a winning system. You set aside twenty dollars, play until it is gone or until you land a win you are happy with, then stop either way. It cannot change the odds of any spin, but as a hard spending cap it is a sensible way to play.
Is there a Microgaming login or app?
No. The studio runs no player accounts or player app. You sign in to your account with us, and the games load in your browser on desktop or phone.
Is Microgaming the same as Games Global?
Close to it. Games Global now runs the game business that grew up under the Microgaming name. Many lobbies, ours included, still label those games Microgaming.
Does Microgaming have a live casino?
Yes, and part of it is here: blackjack, baccarat, roulette, Casino Hold'Em and the Cash Wheel Carnival money wheel. These are real-money tables with live dealers and no demo.
Which Microgaming slots should I try first?
The Break Away series if you like hockey, a Power Combo title if you like bonus features, or the Almighty run if you like myth. Read the panel first and start at the lowest stake.
Is Microgaming hiring?
We cannot answer for the studio. We are a casino that carries its games, so for jobs at Microgaming or Games Global, go to the company's own careers page.
Play responsibly
Once you leave the demo, every spin costs you something. Treat that as entertainment you can afford to lose, never as income and never as a way to win back a loss. Set a budget and a time limit before you open a game, and stop when you reach either one. If play stops feeling like fun, take a break: our responsible gaming page explains the tools available to you and where to find free, confidential help.
